A long week's day.

It's been a while! I suppose it got a little hectic recently with a new job, a 5k, and some gardening in between. Luckily, I've had major progress with my plants.

Yet, there was a thief lurking around.

And someone came to visit me this morning, although he must've been embarrassed seeing he tried to fit right in with the leaf, itself.

Today is also my dear and I's 2 1/2 (3 really) year anniversary, and so far I've been surprised with banana pancakes with peanut butter and grapefruit juice, and the rest is unknown. All I know is that I need to be dressed and ready by 11:00 and to pack some shorts. Where could I be going?

A fulfilling surprise

This morning my little spots of dirt acted in their normal way as I watered them and left for work, but when I came home....to my surprise I was greeted by something a little green!(a few actually)

I wish I can say who these strangers are, but somehow my pots had been moved around and I was foolish enough not to label them. I'm going to assume squash until we officially meet.

I couldn't help myself today, I had to get more seeds!

The new additions to my green family are: zucchini, green beans, and marigolds.
No sign of movement from the others, which is to be expected for now.

Meanwhile, after visiting the local farmer's market; I made a stir-fry of: mushrooms, carrots, onions, garlic, and bok choy with some soy sauce, vegan butter, and light seasoning.

Hope everyone is drinking plenty of water where you're at, down here it's getting scorching.

Day 1:

As opposed to my previous blog, this one will consist of Michael and I's adventures experimenting with gardening, cooking, and crafts, with some special appearances from my kitty pals.

I'm beginning this journey with little clay pots holding seeds from squash, cowpeas, lima beans, and cucumbers. It was a little rainy this afternoon, so they're already off to a moist start!

The rain also brought a great opportunity to bake some vegan chocolate chip banana oatmeal muffins, and give Michael a haircut.

Meanwhile, while some of us were being productive with the weather...

..others would rather leave the world for the day.
